Dr. Carmen Wilson began as provost and vice president for academic affairs in April 2016. She provides leadership for all academic departments, library services, academic records, institutional research and distance education. Wilson and her staff collaborate to provide students with access to high-quality programs and foster academic excellence. Wilson serves on the President’s Cabinet and President’s Advisory Council as well as other institutional committees. Before accepting her position at DSU, Wilson served as the chief executive officer and dean of the University of Wisconsin-Rock County in Janesville, Wisconsin. Wilson earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, and both master’s and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology, all from Iowa State University. She has authored or co-authored several chapters for books and peer-reviewed journals related to psychology. In 2009, she completed the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
