Mrs. Marlys Bachamp began her nursing career as an ADRN (Associate Degree Registered Nurse) graduate from Dickinson State College (DSC). She returned to school when DSC had developed and was providing an ADRN to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program, graduating from Dickinson State University with her BSN degree.  Following graduation Mrs. Bachamp was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Chapter (1997) and continues to maintain her membership. In addition to attending a graduate nursing program, Mrs. Bachamp began working at DSU in 2006 as an adjunct clinical faculty member instructing junior nursing students in a spring clinical rotation. She received her Master of Science in Nursing with a Specialization in Health Care Education degree in 2007 and became a full time Assistant Professor in fall of 2008. Mrs. Bachamp teaches primarily in the AASPN first year team but also teaches a course in the online ADRN to BSN program. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Bachamp gained experiences in nursing in many fields of nursing including Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Intensive Care, Renal Dialysis, and Case Management.
