Undergraduate Research Grants

Dickinson State University (DSU) is able to offer financial support for undergraduate research through Undergraduate Research grants. These grants provide funding for students to conduct supervised research across all disciplines throughout the academic year.

The Undergraduate Research Program encourages students to be intimately engaged in the research process as they work on their own research or in close contact with that of a faculty mentor. Students are expected to receive training in the research methods of their discipline as they work to collect and analyze data to test their own hypotheses, develop an original composition, and/or participate in other appropriate scholarly and creative activities. The program particularly encourages students and their faculty mentors to think critically about how their work fits in with the larger academic community as they prepare their projects for public dissemination and presentation.
