Research and Scholarly Work

Research and Scholarly Work

Faculty at Dickinson State University engage in research in a wide range of disciplines, from experimental designs in the natural sciences, psychology, and agriculture, to qualitative explorations in social sciences and education, to creative or analytical explorations in music and humanities. This research is broadly disseminated through professional publications and presentations at local and national conferences. Undergraduates at Dickinson State have many opportunities to assist faculty in their research interests or collaborate with faculty to pursue research interests of their own.

Faculty and student research in all disciplines is encouraged and supported at Dickinson State University through a solid Institutional Review Board process for approving studies with human subjects, funding opportunities for undergraduate research, and a celebratory showcase through which students can display and present their work. Scholarly work in all of the academic disciplines is encouraged and supported.
