Friday, October 6

  • BLOOD DRIVE 10 a.m.-4 p.m. | Student Center | Free
  • HYPNOTIST ERIC MINA 7 p.m. | Stickney Auditorium | Free
    • Eric Mina, 2016 Hypnotist of the Year, dares audiences to dream with his comedy hypnosis show that has been performed at over 100 schools. The audience becomes the show in this unique and hilarious approach to hypnosis. You have never seen a show like this one. It combines comedy, inspiration, and fun to create a once in a lifetime experience. In Eric's show, you will witness live talent competitions, dance-offs, and even a part where the hypnotized students create their own crazy and hilarious charities. Audiences will be screaming with laughter as they watch what is bound to be your campus's new favorite act. Eric draws a huge crowd and never fails to amaze students and give them a show that they will be talking about for years. He has been referred to as incredible, mind blowing, and has turned non-believers of hypnosis into believers. He is guaranteed to amaze audiences with his show that you will want to see again and again! This event is free and open to the public! Rated: 18+

    • The Blue Hawk Tailgate is sponsored by the DSU Heritage Foundation.  Tailgate spots are available for $25.  All are welcome to attend.
  • FOOTBALL vs. VALLEY CITY STATE 2 p.m. | Biesiot Activities Center | $8 - adult, $4 - 12 and under

Sunday, October 8

  • CHILI COOK-OFF 1 p.m. - cooking, 5:30 p.m. - judging, 6 p.m. - tasting | Biesiot Activities Center | Free
    • Join us for the seventh Annual Chili Cook-off! To participate in the Chili Cook-off, please fill out the registration form above. Cooking will start at 1 p.m. and rules are listed in the form above. Judging for all participants will happen at 5:30 p.m. There will be a community tasting at 6 p.m. and this is free and open to the public.
  • FAMILY MOVIE 7:30 p.m. | Biesiot Activities Center | Free
    • Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the Annual Homecoming Family Movie night! “Moana” will be shown on the big screen.

Monday, October 9

  • COMEDIAN PETE LEE 7 p.m. | Stickney Auditorium | Free
    • Comedian Pete Lee makes his debut performance at Dickinson State University. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Rated: PG-13

Tuesday, October 10

  • VOLLEYBALL vs. MINOT STATE 6 p.m. | Scott Gymnasium | $6 - adult, $3 - 12 and under

Thursday, October 12

  • ALUMNI FELLOWS & HONOREES BANQUET 5:30 p.m. | Dickinson Elks Lodge
  • Each academic department has chosen to honor an alum who graduated from DSU.  The chosen individuals are honored at the banquet and are named an Alumni Fellow. 
  • The DSU Heritage Foundation also gives out the Young Hawk Award, Blue Feather Award, and Golden Hawk Award. 
  • Tickets are $30 and are available by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations at 483-2557. 

Friday, October 13

  • MUSIC DEPARTMENT CONCERT 7 p.m. | Stickney Auditorium | $5 - adult, $2 – seniors
    • The DSU Music Ensembles present an evening of entertainment and art, featuring African folk songs, new takes on favorite folk and pop tunes, and much more! Tickets are $5 for adults; seniors, children, and alumni are free.  They can be purchased at the door, or at dsuarts.com.
  • ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME BANQUET 5 p.m. | Astoria Hotel and Event Center
    • Honoring individuals on their athletic accomplishments during their collegiate career at Dickinson State.
    • The honorees this year are:
      • Funda Alaskin-Sinani - Volleyball
      • Tara McEvena-McDonald - Cross Country Track
      • Brett Nedens – Wrestling
      • Kevin McElvaney - Football/Track
      • Adam Eckert - Football/Track
      • 2000 Wrestling Team
    • Event will be held at the Astoria Hotel, Social beginning at 5 p.m.

    • Tickets are $30 prior to event and $40 at the door. 

Saturday, October 14

  • TIM SIGL ’78 5K MUSTACHE DASH 8 a.m. | Biesiot Activities Center | Registration fee - $10
    • The Tim Sigl Mustache Dash is a 5K walk/run which honors a former DSU alum and DSU employee, Tim Sigl, who was killed in a car accident. 
    • Registration fee is $10 and available by calling the Office of Alumni Relations at 483-2557.  Registration will also be available the day of the race starting at 7:15 am.
  • PARADE 10 a.m.
