Additional Information

Martin McGoey, instructor of English, began teaching at DSU in 2016. He has previously taught at the University of South Dakota, Augustana University, and Northwest Iowa Community College. His interests include writing science fiction, mystery, and creative nonfiction nature-based essays. In 2012, he was awarded the Lakeside Lab Writing Fellowship by the University of Iowa for his interests in nature writing. Prior to teaching at the college level, he taught high school English for three years in St. Francis, Minnesota. He currently teaches composition and creative writing courses for DSU, serves as chair of the Heart River Writer's Circle, and oversees the production of Impressions, DSU's student-run literary magazine.
