Erin Berger, Instructor of Nursing, is a Dickinson State University graduate (2006,
AASPN; 2008, BSN). She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Nursing degree
through the University of North Dakota in which she is expected to graduate in May
2019. Erin came to Dickinson State University in 2017 when she began teaching as an
adjunct faculty for the AASPN program. Beginning January 2018, she joined the University
as a full time tenure track faculty member teaching both didactic and clinical courses
in the AASPN and BSN programs with a special focus in maternal child health. In addition,
Erin is a Co-advisor for the DSU Nursing Student Association (NSA).
Prior to joining DSU, Erin’s professional nursing experience included employment as
the Director of Nursing at the Southwestern District Health Unit and the Great Plains
Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center. She also has previous acute and primary care
nurse experiences in pediatrics, obstetrics, family practice, internal medicine, orthopedics,
school nursing, and public health.
