Additional Information

Dr. Brevik teaches physics and astronomy courses at Dickinson State University.  In past semesters, she has also taught Weather & Climate, Radiation Health, Physical Science, and Secondary Science Methods.  She is also currently serving as the Assessment Coordinator for DSU. 

Besides teaching, Dr. Brevik enjoys science public outreach.  She is the coordinator for DSU’s Discovery Dome, an inflatable planetarium that travels to schools around the state.  She enjoys giving public talks on various science topics and has taught numerous workshops for local educators. 

Her research interests include the study of light pollution in Western North Dakota, electrostatic discharges on Mars, and improving physical science education for elementary education majors.
