Dickinson State University, in conjunction with the Global Equine Academy, proudly offers a fully accredited online program focusing on equine – the first fully online Associate in Science degree program with an Equine Option in the nation!

- Associate in Science in Agricultural Sales and Service
There are three main parts to the associate’s degree program: General Education curriculum (40-42 credits, which includes one credit for UNIV 100 – Freshman Seminar, an institutional academic requirement), Agricultural Sales and Service Core Curriculum (9 credits), and Equine Management or Equine Training Option curriculum (20 credits). Course lectures are delivered via the internet and video.
- Equine Management Option
- No horse or riding required – students learn the theory behind training horses in Equine Training Theory classes.
- Equine Training Option
- Requires a horse and riding – students video themselves performing the tasks learned in the Equine Training Techniques classes and are graded based on their proficiency in performing the techniques.
- Equine Management Option
- Equine Minor
Pair this minor with a bachelor’s degree program – typically, online students pursue a Bachelor of University Studies or Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and add the Equine Minor to their chosen program of study. - Horse Production Certificate
Interested in learning more about horse production but already have or don’t want an associate’s degree? The Horse Production Certificate can give you a concise learning program that fits your life.
