Presidential Scholarships give qualified new students $1600 per year, split between two semesters. Cabinet will set exact scholarship amounts each year.
To receive this scholarship:
- Freshman: have a 3.25 cumulative GPA OR minimum test score of ACT 22, SAT 1100, TOEFL 83, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 115
- Transfer students: have a 3.0 cumulative GPA
You can’t combine this scholarship with the DSU Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Scholarship, but you can combine it with other institutional waivers and DSU Heritage Foundation scholarships.
You will continue to receive the Presidential Scholarship as long as you are continually enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits a semester and keep your GPA at 3.0 or higher. Collaborative credits (credits for classes you take from another NDUS school while at DSU) do not count towards the 12-credit minimum requirement. It’s renewable for up to four years for first-time freshmen and three years for transfer students.
The DSU Heritage Foundation is investing in future generations by awarding scholarships. The Foundation supports the university by rewarding academic and extracurricular excellence as well as supporting scholarly and creative activities.
Our Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program is a student-driven program that allows you to maximize your time in the classroom. You hone decision-making and problem-solving techniques with intellectual rigor and character development.
As a TRHLP student, you’ll receive a scholarship of $3,200 per year for the first two years, and $4,000 per year for the last two years.
We award athletic scholarships to student-athletes on a case-by-case basis. To apply, fill out a recruitment form for each sport at our DSU Blue Hawks website.
The High School “High Fliers” Scholarship is available to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The scholarship waives part of your tuition, so you don’t pay more than the funded dual credit tuition rate for early entry courses taken via DSUlive™ or online. You must have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and show this by submitting an official in-progress high school transcript. The “High Fliers” Scholarship is renewable as long as you keep a minimum 3.0 GPA in DSU coursework and remain a high school student. When you graduate from high school or earn your GED, you can apply for other DSU scholarship and/or award programs to receive aid.
