Tobias “Toby” Stroh has been a member of the Blue Hawk family in the Department of
Agriculture and Technical Studies for 30 years (and counting). Stroh teaches everything
from Ag Finance and Ag Accounting to Range and Pasture Management, Livestock Production
and Animal Science. The “Agriculture and Technical Studies Mobile Classroom” can be
found all over southwest North Dakota as he’s found that his students learn best by
doing and appreciate hands-on field trips and labs. He challenges his students to
apply actual financial and range management information needed for an operating farm/ranch
to do a financial analysis and budget.
Stroh was honored as DSU’s Faculty/Student Collaborative Research Award recipient
in 2008 and was named the University’s Distinguished Educator of the Year in 2021.
