Tutoring Defined

What is peer tutoring or mentoring?

At Dickinson State, peer tutoring refers to instructional, educational sessions with a fellow student. Trained peer tutors with subject area expertise provide one-on-one informal academic support to other DSU students. If you’re struggling with one class in particular, talk with a peer tutor.

Peer mentors help fellow students with overarching study and life skills. Talk to a peer mentor if you want help with general study skills, test taking, and/or time management.
