Dickinson State University uses peer tutors. Peer tutoring refers to educational sessions with a fellow student. Trained peer tutors with subject-area expertise provide one-on-one, informal, academic support to other DSU students. If you’re struggling with one class or several, talk with a peer tutor. Tutoring is free for all currently enrolled DSU students.

Yes. You must be attending a course on a regular basis in order to request a tutor for it.

Bring everything you need for your assignment to your session. This might include your assignment sheet, your textbook, source materials, and so on. Also, bring something to write with and something to write on. You should come prepared with questions about the subject or assignment you’d like help with and expect your tutor to help you and guide you, not do the work for you.

Brainfuse is available 24/7, free of charge, and is embedded into each Blackboard course.
