Dr. Ayodeji Arogundade joined Dickinson State University (DSU) in 2024 as an Associate
Professor of Business and Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Before
joining DSU, Arogundade held several leadership roles at Lewis-Clark State College
(LCSC) in Lewiston, Idaho, including Chair of the Business and Computer Science Division.
He began his academic career at LCSC in 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Marketing
and was promoted to Associate Professor of Business with tenure in 2020. Between 2021
and 2024, Dr. Arogundade served as Assistant Chair, Interim Chair, and Chair of the
Business and Computer Science Division. He is also a visiting professor at the University
of Anahuac in Puebla, Mexico.
Arogundade completed the Post-Doctoral Bridge Program at the Hough Graduate School
of Business, Warrington College of Business, University of Florida, specializing in
marketing and management. He also earned a doctorate and a master's degree in Biological
and Agricultural Engineering from the University of Idaho, as well as a Master of
Business Administration (MBA) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria.
Arogundade also had a stint in the banking industry. From 2001 to 2006, he worked
in the Business Development and Marketing Units of Universal Trust Bank (now Union
Bank), Oceanic International Bank (now ECOWAS Bank), and United Bank for Africa, prior
to relocating to the United States for postgraduate studies.
Dr. Arogundade has co-authored several books and peer-reviewed articles. He has also
presented his research in local, regional, national, and international conferences.
In 2023, Arogundade co-authored Unintended Consequences of Internationalization in Higher Education: Comparative International
Perspectives on the Impacts of Policy and Practice. This publication received the 2024 Best Book Award from the Council on International
Higher Education (ASHE-CIHE) in recognition of its significant contributions to research
on international higher education.
Arogundade has received multiple awards for his professional achievements. In 2021,
he was honored with the Annice Edmundson Faculty Excellence Award at LCSC for maintaining
high academic standards and demonstrating excellence in teaching and mentoring. In
2024, he received the Remarkable Achievement Award from the Federal University of
Technology, Akure, Nigeria, which recognizes alumni who have “distinguished themselves
in their chosen career since their graduation.”
Arogundade maintains active engagement with the community. He has served on the boards
of Northwest eLearning, Women’s Dignity Initiative, and RCCG Glory of God Inc. Dr.
Arogundade currently serves as Secretary for the International Accreditation Council
for Business Education (IACBE) Region 5, North Central.
