Sarah Crossingham is the Assistant Dean of the School of Education and an Assistant
Professor of Education at Dickinson State University. She prepares future educators
through innovative, student-centered instruction while fostering meaningful connections
between the university and the community. Prior to joining DSU, she spent over a decade
teaching middle and high school social studies in North Dakota.
Sarah's teaching and scholarship focus on ethics in teacher preparation, experiential
learning, educational leadership, and community engagement. She also serves as the
producer and advisor for the Blue Hawk Theatre Guild, providing students with hands-on
leadership and production experiences.
She has been recognized as Dickinson State University's Innovative Teacher of the
Year, Prairie Business Magazine's 40 Under 40, Dickinson State University's Alumni
Fellow, North Dakota's Gilder Lehrman History Teacher of the Year, and Best of the
Western Edge's Best Professor. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education at
the University of North Dakota.
