Steph Osborne is an Assistant Professor of Business at Dickinson State University
(DSU), where she has been a member of the university community since 2016. She began
her career at DSU as an Admissions Recruiter in January 2016 and progressed through
several roles, including Lead Admissions Recruiter, Professional Advisor/Career Services
Specialist, and Director of Admissions. In August 2023, she transitioned to the School
of Business & Entrepreneurship as an Assistant Professor of Business. From 2025–2026,
she also served as Interim Assistant Dean.
Osborne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from DSU in December 2015. She continued her education at DSU, earning
a Master of Entrepreneurship in May 2022 and a Master of Business Administration in
May 2024.
As a faculty member, Osborne teaches courses in business and is committed to connecting
classroom learning with practical, real-world applications. She currently serves on
the Assessment Committee, Faculty Senate, and Retention Committee. She is also a member
of the National Business Education Association (NBEA) and attended the 2025 NBEA National
Conference.
Osborne has continued to pursue professional development in teaching and learning,
completing Quality Matters Accessibility and Usability training and participating
in the Cengage virtual conference, Reaching Today’s Learner: Impactful Teaching Practices in Higher Ed. She also attended the 2026 Quality Matters Research Online Conference. Her professional
interests include business education, student success and retention, experiential
learning, and preparing students for careers through applied business education.
