Prepare for the holiday event of the season! A Magical Medora Christmas is celebrating its tenth anniversary of bringing holiday magic, music, and memories to communities across North Dakota and beyond. Produced by Bill Sorenson, this beloved production has become a holiday tradition for thousands, and we are delighted to announce that it is coming to Dickinson State University.
Tour Dates and Locations: A Magical Medora Christmas will light up stages in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Minnesota, beginning on November 29 and ending on December 22. Catch the show at Dickinson State University’s Stickney Auditorium on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m.
A Holiday Tradition: A Magical Medora Christmas captures the essence of the season with classic holiday tunes, contemporary favorites, and captivating storytelling. Audiences will recognize many of the Medora Musical’s talented performers who have helped make this show a sell-out event year after year.
A Hometown Star Returns: This year’s cast features Damon Fichter, a 2015 graduate of Dickinson State University,
now based in Nashville, Tennessee. Fichter shared, "I am thrilled to be able to represent
my hometown of Dickinson. I was on the DSU stage for the first time in 2014 while
I was pursuing my degree in Music, so this will be a true full-circle moment for me
as I will be celebrating my tenth anniversary in Dorothy Stickney Auditorium." In
addition to singing, Fichter will showcase his talent on the drums, trombone, and
piano (as pictured here on the piano). He’ll perform one of his favorite Christmas
songs, Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, adding a heartfelt touch to the evening.
Beyond the music, A Magical Medora Christmas will support local music and theater, a cause that Fichter is passionate about. He said, “Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, A Magical Medora Christmas promises a night of joy, laughter, and togetherness.”
