Dickinson State University (DSU) is pleased to announce a series of listening sessions, scheduled from November 14 to November 22, as part of its comprehensive presidential search process. These sessions are an opportunity for the DSU community and stakeholders to share their insights and expectations for the university's next leader.
DSU has also launched a dedicated Presidential Search webpage, designed to keep the community informed throughout the process. The webpage can be found at dickinsonstate.edu/presidentialsearch and provides access to the search timeline, job description, application portal, and committee member details, ensuring continuous updates and transparency.
The presidential search is being conducted in collaboration with the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education (SBHE), the North Dakota University System (NDUS), and AGB Search consultants. The search committee, co-chaired by SBHE Vice Chair Danita Bye and DSU Acting President Ty Orton, comprises representatives from various university constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members.
Key milestones in the search process include:
December 3: First Meeting of Search Committee (Virtual)
February 7: Application deadline for best consideration
March 3: Semifinalist interviews
March 17-21: Finalist campus visits and interviews
March 27: SBHE selection of the new DSU President
The selected president will be announced in the spring of 2025, with the transition expected to be completed by July 1, 2025.
