Dickinson, N.D. – Dickinson State University will host an agriculture event Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Biesiot Activities Center.

The event is free and open to the public, welcoming students, faculty, community members and agricultural professionals to connect, learn and explore opportunities in the agriculture industry.

The afternoon will begin with a career fair from 1 to 2 p.m., featuring representatives from Dakota Community Bank & Trust, Western Cooperative Credit Union, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, ProPoint Cooperative, Farm Credit Services of Mandan, North Dakota State University Extension, Steffes Group Inc., North Dakota Farm Bureau, JE Dunn Construction and Coteau Properties.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Chip Poland at 2 p.m., followed by senior agriculture capstone presentations from 2 to 3 p.m. The event will conclude with a keynote address by North Dakota Gov. Kelly Armstrong at 3 p.m.

Attendees can look forward to an afternoon filled with opportunities to meet agricultural employers, network with professionals and explore the wide range of careers within the industry. They will also hear directly from state and university leaders, as well as DSU students presenting their senior capstone projects.

This annual event plays a vital role in advancing agriculture education and workforce development in western North Dakota. It not only highlights the achievements of DSU’s agriculture students but also strengthens connections among academia, industry and the broader community.
