Dickinson State University (DSU) invites the campus and community to attend the 21st annual Celebration of Scholars, an annual event featuring original research, scholarly work, and artistic creations by DSU students. The event will be held in Murphy Hall on Saturday, April 22 at 8 a.m., with lunch and a keynote address in the Student Center Ballroom.
Dickinson State University Celebration of Scholars is an event in which DSU students in all disciplines present scholarly work to an audience of peers, faculty, and community members. These scholarly endeavors include scientific research, explorations in humanities and the arts, and summations of scholarly accomplishments and can be showcased through oral and poster presentations by students of their original work, such as research findings, scholarly critique, musical performances, and visual artwork.
This year, the keynote address will feature two DSU professors: Dr. Colin Strine, assistant professor of biology; and Dr. Marcus Fries, associate professor of mathematics. DSU student, Priyanka Davis, will also join the keynote address during Dr. Fries’ session.
