The forecast indicates an increasing likelihood of significant weather impact in Dickinson and southwest North Dakota. Due to the predicted severe thunderstorm starting at approximately 4:00 PM MT, we are expecting possible large hail, strong winds, and tornadic activity.
For your safety, DSU will move to remote work as of 3:00 PM MT. We ask that all employees work with their supervisors this afternoon to arrange necessary work accommodations. Essential employees should speak with supervisors regarding their roles during this event. Individuals living in campus housing should consider safety measures for shelter in place for this afternoon through this evening in the event a weather incident takes place.
