Dickinson State University is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Graduate Awards (OGA). These exceptional students were selected through a rigorous and competitive review process from among the top graduates in each of the university’s academic schools. They exemplify the highest standards of academic achievement, leadership, and service. The awardees were formally recognized at DSU’s annual Outstanding Graduate Ceremony.

Christina Jorgensen, the Outstanding Master Graduate recipient, representing the School of Education, is honored for her exemplary leadership, service, and dedication to youth mentorship. Her contributions to nonprofit leadership and faith-based education have created a meaningful and lasting impact within the community.

“It is an unexpected honor to be nominated as an Outstanding Master Graduate,” said Jorgensen. “This award reflects not only my personal goals, but the support and encouragement I’ve received from those around me.”

Kaitlyn McColly, from the School of Professional Studies, graduates with a perfect 4.0 grade point average in Nursing. In addition to her academic excellence, she has earned numerous athletic accolades, including the prestigious A.O. Duer Award, national titles in Track and Field, and the distinction of representing the United States at the 2023 FISU World Games in China.

“Being named an Outstanding Graduate means I’ve been able to pursue my dreams at DSU,” said McColly. “This community has given me the support, resources, and encouragement to grow both academically and personally.”

Griffin Obrigewitch, representing the School of Applied Sciences, is a Biology major and accomplished student-athlete. He is recognized for his strong academic record, active leadership on campus, and commitment to community involvement. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in dentistry.

“I’m honored to be named an Outstanding Graduate,” Obrigewitch shared. “This recognition is a reflection of the incredible support from faculty, friends, and coaches who helped shape my experience at DSU.”

“These award recipients embody the very best of Dickinson State University—academic excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to community,” said Dr. Holly Gruhlke, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost. “These students have distinguished themselves not only through their scholarly achievements but also through their integrity and dedication to making a positive impact. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and excited to see the great things they will do beyond DSU.”
