Cash Randle, a sophomore finance major at Dickinson State University, is originally from Elizabeth, Colorado. He was drawn to DSU for its close-knit community and the opportunity to grow both as a student and an athlete.

“I decided to attend Dickinson State University for the football team, the amazing community atmosphere and support, and the great opportunities to further my education,” he said.

Randle chose to study finance because of his strong interest in understanding how money works and how to use it wisely. “Everything I would like to do in life involves money and how to use it properly,” he said.

Once on campus, Randle found himself surrounded by professors and coaches who genuinely cared about his success both on and off the field. “My professors have worked tirelessly alongside my coaches to ensure I have nothing but success in not just athletics and academics but in my daily life as well,” he said. Their support has helped him build the discipline and confidence to excel in every area of student life.

In addition to being a slot receiver for the Blue Hawks, Randle stays active in several campus organizations. He co-hosts the DSU Hawk Talk show, creates social media video content for Blue Hawk athletics, participates in the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program and mentors once a week. Through these experiences, he has built strong communication and time management skills while staying connected to the DSU community.

One of his favorite memories at DSU came during the football playoffs. “My favorite memory is when we beat Kansas Wesleyan in the first round of the playoffs at home,” he said.

As he looks ahead, Randle says DSU has given him more than just an education. It has given him a foundation for life. “I believe that DSU is preparing me for life after college in many ways, but the most important that I have retained is the importance of doing the right thing and being active in your community,” he said. “This is an aspect of life that I will carry throughout my days in Dickinson and beyond.”
