Dickinson State University's music program will host the 68th Annual Northern Plains Music Festival November 14-15, 2025. This festival features auditioned musicians from more than 25 different high schools in North Dakota, Montana, and South Dakota. The Northern Plains Music Festival consists of two different musical groups: Mixed Choir and Concert Band.

  • Black and white formal attire (slacks, skirts, button-down shirts, etc.).
  • Students may choose to wear black and white, or all black.
  • Please dress modestly.

Please be sure to send high quality recordings, and be sure the file name begins with the student’s first and last name. 

  • $5.00 application fee
  • $20.00 participation fee
  • All checks payable to DSU MUSIC
