U.S. News & World Report released their 2022-2023 Best Colleges rankings Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, and Dickinson State University (DSU) ranked No. 7 for Top Public Schools – Regional Colleges (Midwest). This is the seventh consecutive year U.S. News has included DSU in its list of top colleges.

A recognized leader in college and graduate school rankings, U.S. News, in its 38th year of ranking colleges, evaluated 1,500 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality such as student-faculty ratio and the average federal loan debt of graduates. Additionally, the media company also lists information schools reported to them directly including academic majors offered, application requirements, tuition and financial aid policies, student body demographics and campus life.

“It is important to not take these rankings too seriously, as it is difficult to factor all the differences among universities,” noted DSU President Steve Easton. “But it is still nice to be so highly ranked. We work hard at DSU to provide an amazing range of experiences for our students both in and beyond the classroom, at a very low cost. We are proud of the combination of opportunity and value at Dickinson State. It is good to see that others recognize that winning combination.”
