Earlier this semester, Dr. Jeremy Wohletz, associate professor of music, was selected to perform for a virtual New Music Festival put on by the International Clarinet Association. This free event was held Oct. 21-22 and featured several performers and presenters from around the globe.
“I was honored to be selected amongst so many great musicians,” stated Wohletz. “It was a great event that my students could learn from and be a part of.”
His performance was held Saturday, Oct 21, where he performed “Stasis” by Michael McGee and “Variations on Themes of Black Sabbath” by Lori Ardovino. Dr. Wohletz added, “one of the really cool things was having one of the composers comment on my Facebook page how well I performed her piece!”
