1. A minimum of 60 undergraduate credits completed

• Transfer students with a minimum of 60 credits-whether from the transfer institution alone or in combination with DSU credits, are also eligible.

2. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
3. Application for acceptance into the 4+1 accelerated degree program must be submitted before the end of the student’s junior year.

1. Schedule a meeting with your advisor to develop a plan of work
2. Complete a Combined/Accelerated Degree Program Declaration Form, signed by you, the Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and the Director of Graduate Studies. The form must clearly indicate:
   1. The courses (a maximum of 12 graduate credits) that will be double counted for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. These courses will be taken prior to completing the bachelor’s degree.
3. Check the course substitution list to see the examples of acceptable courses. Please discuss with your advisor if in doubt.
4. Also, work with your advisor to plan for the graduate courses you will take after completing your bachelor's degree.
5. Once the Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship and the Director of Graduate Studies approve your completed Accelerated Degree Program Declaration form, you are officially enrolled in the 4+1 program.
6. Please ensure that you complete the graduation application for admission prior to completing your undergraduate degree.

1. How many credits can I register when I get into the graduate program?

The maximum per semester credit for a graduate student is nine semester hours for fall and spring (seven credits for summer term). Enrollment for additional credits (seven credit hours for the summer term) requires the graduate advisor's signature.

2. How long do I need to complete the accelerated 4+1 program?

For a 4+1 program, students must complete the master's degree within 12 months from the completion of the bachelor's degree program.

3. What if my cumulative GPA drops below 3.0 in the final year of my bachelor’s program?

Suppose a student completes the bachelor's degree requirements with a cumulative GPA of less than 3.0/4.0. In that case, they need program approval to continue to pursue the ABM degree program.

A student who is ineligible to participate in (or withdraws from) the ABM program, cannot double count any courses. The courses that were identified as double counted will remain on the undergraduate transcript only.
