Dickinson State University (DSU) is thrilled to announce that beginning in Fall 2024, it will offer nationwide in-state tuition to all U.S. students, regardless of their state of residence.
This bold move by DSU is aimed at breaking down the financial barriers that often prevent students from pursuing higher education. With this initiative, DSU seeks to provide an affordable and accessible educational opportunity to students across the United States, regardless of where they call home.
"Access to quality education should not be limited by geography or financial constraints," said Steve Easton, DSU President. "By offering nationwide in-state tuition, we are reaffirming our commitment to providing an affordable education to all students who seek to further their academic and professional goals. This initiative will enable us to welcome a wide range of students to our campus."
Dickinson State University has a long-standing reputation for academic excellence and a commitment to student success. With a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, DSU offers students the opportunity to pursue their passions and prepare for rewarding careers in a variety of fields. The institution has unveiled a variety of affordability measures over the last few years, including frozen tuition since 2020 and the university’s need-based program the Blue Hawk Promise Scholarship.
The move to nationwide in-state tuition reflects DSU's dedication to innovation and its mission to provide a high-quality education that is both accessible and affordable. This initiative will not only benefit students but also serves as a draw to the region to continue the institution’s efforts to improve workforce shortages.
"We are excited to open our doors to students from across the country and provide them with an exceptional educational experience," said Dr. Holly Gruhlke, DSU Vice President. "At DSU, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams, and we are proud to take this significant step towards making that a reality."
