The Dickinson State University (DSU) School of Business and Entrepreneurship leverages the Peregrine General Education (PGE) assessment as a vital tool to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of its degree programs. Administered to senior capstone students nearing graduation, the PGE exam reflects DSU's commitment to academic excellence by measuring students' academic achievement and mastery of key subject areas. The results provide valuable insights that help ensure DSU graduates are well-prepared to transition from academic life to professional careers.

Beyond assessing individual student performance, the PGE assessment allows DSU to benchmark its students against those from other universities, including institutions accredited by prominent organizations such as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), and the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). The data from Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 demonstrates that DSU students consistently outperform their peers at other four-year institutions, including those affiliated with major accrediting bodies.

In Fall 2023, DSU students achieved an outstanding outbound percentage of 78.95%, significantly surpassing the national average of 60.87%. Similarly, in Spring 2024, DSU students continued their strong performance with a 73.15% outbound percentage, again outpacing the averages of AACSB, ACBSP, and IACBE institutions.
