Dr. Michael Cullinane – Theodore Roosevelt Center

Dr. Cullinane - November Employee Highlights

Dr. Michael Cullinane, Lowman Walton Endowed Chair of Theodore Roosevelt Studies and co-director of the Theodore Roosevelt Center, will present on Theodore Roosevelt’s public diplomacy in 1909. His talk will explore how Roosevelt’s African expedition provides a foundation for future cultural diplomacy programs. This event highlights DSU and the Theodore Roosevelt Center as leaders in international tourism and cultural exchange.

 

Dr. Anna Faktorovich – School of Education

Dr. Faktorovich - November Employee Highlight

Dr. Anna Faktorovich, assistant professor of English, presented her research at two conferences in October. She spoke at the European Studies Conference in Omaha, Nebraska, and at the Midwest Popular Culture Association annual conference in Iowa City, Iowa. Her scholarship continues to engage interdisciplinary audiences across the region.

 

Dr. Md Ochiuddin “Omi” Miah – School of Applied Sciences

Dr. Ochiuddin - November Employee Highlight

Dr. Md Ochiuddin “Omi” Miah successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation in November 2025. His research focuses on human-AI interaction, human-computer interaction and augmented and virtual reality. His work advances emerging technologies and their applications in education and industry.

 

Dr. Bright Quayson – School of Business and Entrepreneurship

Dr. Bright Quayson, assistant professor of business, has been selected as a presenter at the 105th Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting, to be held in January 2026. This competitive, peer-reviewed selection recognizes his contributions to research in transportation and business analytics.
