Dickinson State University (DSU) proudly celebrated its Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM MT. The event, held in Scott Gymnasium on the DSU campus, marked a significant milestone for graduates who successfully completed their academic journey.
With a total of over 270 degrees confirmed, DSU witnessed the culmination of dedication and hard work from its graduating class. Among them, nearly 140 students took part in commencement alongside their families, friends, faculty, and staff. Senior Rusty Dan delivered the address to his fellow graduates.
DSU's commitment to providing relevant programming in critical career fields was evident as degrees were awarded across a diverse array of programs, including business, nursing, education, welding, and science, to name a few. DSU’s academic portfolio comprises over 80 academic disciplines, with representatives in many fields at the ceremony. The breakdown of degrees conferred included 22 master’s degrees, 173 bachelor's degrees, 36 associate degrees, and 39 certificates and certificates of completion.
The commencement ceremony served as a moment of celebration, reflecting not only the academic achievements of the graduates but also their resilience and perseverance toward their academic goals.
"We are immensely proud of our graduates and their achievements," said Huijian Dong, DSU Provost. "Their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work, determination, and the support of our dedicated faculty and staff. As they embark on new journeys, we are confident that they will continue to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond."
